We recommend you bring your child to see us as soon as they start getting their baby teeth but no later than age one. Dr. Darby and our team have lots of experience working with very young children. Our goal is to ensure that they have a positive experience every time they visit us at our Huntsville dental office. Ensuring that your child's first experiences are positive sets the stage for a lifetime of proactive oral health care.

During the first visit, our goal is to meet your child and show them that visiting the dentist will be fun. Kids learn by example and if we can show them that these visits aren’t a big deal, they’ll respond accordingly. We’ll give them a ride in the chair, count their teeth, and show them how to hold a toothbrush properly.

We understand how important it is that we gradually get your child used to being around us in the office environment. Our professional team takes all the time necessary to treat your children with the special attention they need to help them feel safe and secure.

Your child’s first visit to the dentist is just one of many big steps in their young lives. Please contact our Huntsville dental office and we’ll be happy to arrange a visit so you can get to know our caring team.
