Full & Partial Dentures

It's natural to expect that your beautiful smile will last a lifetime. It’s hard to lose teeth and even harder to face the prospect of wearing dentures. Part of the problem may be that you think that dentures are uncomfortable or look fake.

Dentures that don’t look natural or fit well can really affect the way you feel about yourself. At Flint River Dental, we  want your new dentures to meet your highest expectations. That is why we'll work with you to create completely customized dentures that actually improve your appearance and look as similar to natural teeth as possible.

At Flint River Dental, we offer both full and partial dentures. Full (or complete) dentures are used in cases where all or most teeth are missing; partials are usually recommended when only a few teeth are missing. We also place dental implants right here at our Huntsville dental office that can be specially prepared to hold your dentures securely in place.

Dentures Designed for Your Smile

Before we begin the dentures process, we will make sure you understand exactly what’s involved and the results you can expect. We’ll listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and explain all your options.

In the past, dentures were pretty much one-size-fits-all because they were designed to be functional but not necessarily attractive or realistic. If you’re worried about living with obviously “false teeth,” we would like to put your worries to rest.

Beautiful, Natural-Looking Dentures

With skill and attention to detail, our doctors will fully customize your new dentures to complement the shape of your face, your skin tone, and your facial features. You will be part of the process from the first consultation until your new dentures are finished. We want you to be completely satisfied with the results, so we’ll create a wax try-in, which is basically a prototype of your new dentures.

We’ll make any necessary adjustments so that you’re completely happy with your beautiful new smile. Skilled technicians will then carefully place the artificial teeth one by one in an acrylic base. Dentures that are made to your specifications can make all the difference between discomfort and loving your new, natural-looking smile.

Added Stability for Dentures

It’s true that modern dentures look and fit better than ever before, But many people experience problems wearing dentures that don’t feel secure. This can cause discomfort and also make you feel self-conscious when eating and speaking.

Today we have the option of eliminating these annoying problems by supporting your dentures with dental implants. Dr. Darby will place your dental implants at strategic points along the jaw. The implants act as anchors and provide an extra measure of strength and stability for the dentures that are attached to them.
